Modern technology means and their role in developing archival services: Constantine Municipal Archives from automation to digitization

Abstract

A study on the digital conversion and electronic archiving of the holdings of the Constantine Municipal Archive in Algeria. The study begins by clarifying some concepts and terminology related to the subject, then explains the current state of automated application in the municipal archive, and explains the stages of the mechanization process as it takes place in the Constantine Municipal Archive, and in the end it produces some results and presents a set of Statistics about the archive.
