Abstract

The study revolves around electronic periodicals and their use in university libraries, and their impact on paper periodicals. The first part of the study deals with a comprehensive introduction to scientific periodicals, their importance and specifications. Then, it discusses the scientific article and its journey from authorship to publication to scientific arbitration. Then the study deals with periodicals and their acquisition in university libraries. In terms of their importance to the university library, and the methods of providing them, and finally, this part of the study deals with scientific electronic periodicals and the most important developments that have occurred in them.
