The year 2004 was also the most productive year with a rate of (21.98%), followed by 2002 with a rate of (19.69%), in addition to the creation of most Authors published their works at their own expense, with the largest percentage (13.6%) followed by Safaa House. Most of the publishing was concentrated in the city of Amman due to the lack of branches of Jordanian publishing houses in most governorates. With regard to the classification numbers, the total number of classification numbers that completely match what is in the classification plan reached 622 books, and the books that conform to some extent are 144 books, while the total of non-conforming books is 21 books. The authorship was more on general topics than on specific topics.
The study recommended the necessity of writing in other languages and the necessity of supporting the National Library’s cataloging project during publication with specialized cadres to activate its role and services for the public interest.
