Abstract

The study focuses on the broad outlines of what was stated in the standard specification issued by (ISO: ISO) No. 16439 dated 2014 related to measuring the impact of libraries, focusing on the effects that they have on libraries, and the methods of measuring these effects, and in particular the methods of measuring the economic impact, which is represented by the return on investment. , time cost, probabilistic evaluation, cost return analysis, and data collection tools measuring impact such as: interviews, surveys, citation analysis, tests, and self-evaluation, with a presentation of some of the findings of studies in developed countries of the world such as America, England, and Australia, in addition to Shedding light on the status of measuring the impact of libraries abroad and the situation in the Arab world.
