يشهد قطاع التعليم تحولًا رقميًا متسارعًا، مما يفرض على المكتبات الأكاديمية والعامة إعادة تعريف أدوارها التقليدية لتلبية الاحتياجات المتغيرة للمتعلمين في بيئات التعلم الإلكتروني التفاعلية. يكشف التحليل أن هناك فجوة متنامية بين نماذج الخدمات المكتبية التقليدية وتوقعات المستخدمين المعاصرين الذين يطالبون بتجارب تعلم مرنة وشخصية ومتاحة في الوقت الفعلي. لمواجهة هذا التحدي، يجب على المكتبات أن تتحول من مجرد مستودعات للمعلومات إلى مراكز رقمية ديناميكية ومحاور ترتكز على المستخدم.
يكمن مفتاح هذا التحول في الدمج الاستراتيجي لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات (ICT) في جميع جوانب الخدمات المكتبية. ويشمل ذلك تبني تقنيات متقدمة مثل محركات البحث المدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي، والخدمات المرجعية الافتراضية، وتقنيات الواقع الافتراضي والمعزز، والتكامل السلس مع أنظمة إدارة التعلم (LMS) لتوفير دعم أكاديمي متكامل.
تؤكد النتائج أن النجاح في هذا المسار يعتمد على التخطيط الاستراتيجي، وتنمية مهارات الموظفين باستمرار، وتخصيص الموارد الكافية للبنية التحتية الرقمية. ومن خلال هذه الإجراءات، يمكن للمكتبات أن ترسخ مكانتها كشريك أساسي وفعال في النظام البيئي التعليمي، مما يضمن بقاءها كمورد حيوي للأجيال الحالية والمستقبلية من المتعلمين.
