The emergence of open access movement to the scientific and technique information

Abstract

   The movement of open access to information is a new method for the electronic availability to scientific publications, and although the process of this movement did not exceed two decades so far, except to note that the size of the intellectual, scientific  and publication production, which study this movement and its mechanisms of open access journals and digital repositories have inflated surpassing all expectations, and that the volume of human knowledge available in a manner open access on the internet have inflated , exceeding all aspirations, on this basis, our research came to show the historical roots of open access,  and its definitions, characteristics, advantages, obstacles, the most important strategies and initiatives calling for support and identified.
