Abstract

As is known, the introduction of technology into the field of libraries had a major impact on the emergence of the term information specialist, and many other terms, and regardless of the agreement or disagreement about the nature of the name and its content, there is a new trend to change the name of the librarian who was originally associated with the building with another new name, which is Cybrarian, which is That person who is not bound by any walls but works freely and independently for himself, a leader in his specialty and field of work. From Hani Mohieddin Attia’s point of view, the problem is not in the word “library” and the attempt to change it with the word “information,” as much as it is in the word “trustee” itself, which means a custodian or custodian of the treasury.

The image of librarians changed as their tasks began to move more and more towards cyber. In fact, their mission began to transform from librarians to cyberrians due to the nature of their work and new tasks, and this was done by keeping pace with developments as information consultants, directed towards electronic sources and ways to search for them, and carry out The tasks of selectively broadcasting information, analyzing it, organizing automated files, and other work that requires in-depth knowledge of electronic equipment technologies and methods of using them in libraries and information centers.
