Information technologies in Mansoura University libraries: a field study. 1

Abstract

A comprehensive study on the application of information technology in the libraries of Mansoura University. The study begins with a methodological introduction, then begins to address the aspects of information technology in the university libraries, where it dealt with: The reality of computers, the automated system applied in libraries, databases shared by libraries, the Internet, the extent of use of information technology, training in information technology. The study then discussed the areas of cooperation between Mansoura University libraries, the problems and difficulties they face in applying technology, and finally the future plans towards information technology at Mansoura University.
