The role of information specialist in the application of knowledge management: case study of petroleum refining company in Skikda

Abstract

The aim of this study is to underline the importance of knowledge management in economic company and identify the role that could be played by information specialist in it in which we have highlighted the case of oil refining company in skikda as case study.
We adopted the description analytical approach, relying on a sample of selected 93 high employees, and by using the questionnaire as a basic research tool to collect data, thus enabled us to get the results that confirmed the validity of the initial assumptions. In the end the study leads us to a conclusion about the skills and characteristics that must be in an information specialist to be able to establish the knowledge management approach in economic company and protect their existence
