الملخص

يستعرض هذا المقال الدور التحولي لتقنيات إنترنت الأشياء (IoT) في تعزيز الممارسات المستدامة داخل المكتبات، بناءً على مراجعة أدبية شاملة. يخلص التحليل إلى أن إنترنت الأشياء يعمل كعامل تمكين حيوي لمواجهة التحديات الحديثة، حيث يساهم في تحويل المكتبات إلى "مكتبات ذكية" قادرة على تحسين كفاءة العمليات، وإثراء تجربة المستخدم، وتحقيق أهداف الاستدامة بأبعادها الثلاثة: الاقتصادية، والاجتماعية، والبيئية. وعلى الرغم من الفوائد الكبيرة، إلا أن التطبيق يواجه تحديات جوهرية تتعلق بالتكاليف المرتفعة، والمخاوف الأمنية المتعلقة بخصوصية البيانات، ونقص الكوادر البشرية المؤهلة.
