Electronic journals and their role in serving scientific research in the main library at Sultan Qaboos University

Abstract

The study aims to study electronic periodicals and their role in supporting and developing scientific research, by applying it to electronic periodicals owned by the central library at Sultan Qaboos University. The study begins with a comprehensive methodological introduction, then provides an introductory overview of the Sultan Qaboos University library, and the reality of electronic periodicals in it, then the study discusses some Relevant topics, such as the importance of electronic publishing and its advantages, and the transition from traditional periodicals to electronic periodicals, are then concluded with a set of recommendations and proposals.
