The study aimed to identify the importance of employing the applications of smart phone technology in developing the reading skills of students with intellectual disabilities. To achieve this, the descriptive approach was used. The sample of the study consisted of special education students in schools and integration programs for intellectual education in Shebin El Koum, , And used the questionnaire as a tool for data collection, and the results of the study showed the importance of using smart phones in the development of reading skills of students with disabilities, smart phone technology helped improve the development of reading skills because of the enormous potential provided by The ability to broadcast organized digital content holds the knowledge, values, trends and beliefs of the student according to the appropriate time and without any significant cost, and the development of reading using smart phones has become one of the most important strategies in many countries seeking to develop. The most important recommended by the study: Smart phone applications to develop the skills of students with intellectual disabilities, the establishment of a library or store for the applications of smart phones for people with intellectual disabilities and allowing them to easily access and receive them free, the establishment of clubs for new smart technologies, and attract students interested in the intention is generally to especially tablet devices and use them in educating and educating students with special needs to use these devices and applications in their daily lives.
