Digitization in Algerian university libraries: A case study of the Central University Library “Ben Youssef Ben Khedda”

Through this study, as we work to characterize the technical system of digitization as a product of the human social system in general, and as a trend that is increasing day after day in our libraries as an interim step necessitated by the rapid data and changes, this research seeks to make these technical solutions a building block in the “knowledge building” edifice of our institutions. Documentary and informational, and an opportunity to provide the beneficiaries (who are members of this community) with the necessary, appropriate and constructive knowledge, in an effort to build the sufficient knowledge reserve for the Algerian university staff, which will be used in driving the wheel of development, on the one hand, and on the other hand, in an effort to prevent the causes of “unjustified failure.” While dealing with these technical solutions.
Tracking the changes that are active here and there in the vicinity of our documentation and information institutions, or even in their internal functional structure, is often linked to political changes, or that one of the political officials has shown interest in this type of change, and whether this interest results from an actual belief in the importance of... Libraries, as a living organism, as Ranganathan claims, in the lives of peoples, or as a desire for formal change, from here we can consider within ourselves whether our dealings are reactions or are they movements that grow from conscious, studied and written behavior within public policy (for information) Or for the country in general.
