Abstract

This article is an open study; its aim is to contribute to open different fields of research through discussing one of the widespread practices in libraries which consists of a qualitative assessment of scientific books on the basis of their formal criteria in order to acquire them. By formal criteria of scientific books, we mean a set of descriptive and informative elements related to form rather than content.
