Abstract

This article seeks to highlight the importance of knowledge bases in the automated processing of information, representation and retrieval using what is known as descriptive logic, which combines two vital characteristics of artificial intelligence and the ability to characterize a specific field. Given the importance of what they represent in retrieving and indexing data, the World Wide Web Organization issued a set of specifications aimed at Integrating knowledge bases into its linguistic system. In the second part of this article, we will design a simple knowledge base to describe Arabic grammar.

This knowledge base would describe the field of ancient Arabic grammar through two components: grammatical relationships (subjective, temporal object...) and grammatical categories (noun, letter, verb...), seeking to build a deductive system that analyzes the Arabic sentence in an intelligent way.
