Abstract

This paper aims at the role of public reading spaces in activating and disseminating the information literacy and digital literacy through providing a strong and sustainable cultural information environment for all members of the society through activities such as seminars, lectures, workshops, forums and preparing publications, articles and other programs that contribute to the preparation of competencies Human and focus on the concept of active citizenship and positive It serves everyone regardless of their age and sex abilities and affiliations and ensure equal opportunities for all in access to knowledge and democratization of culture, on the other hand In view of the real and realistic vision of these cultural institutions and what they describe as social systems that contribute to the creation of a class of intellectuals capable of achieving development in a comprehensive and sustainable way through the introduction of the principle of culture, information and technology, These concepts and strategic approaches contribute to activating the role of these libraries as spaces for creativity, learning, education, and information.
