Abstract

The study deals with Egyptian blogs, library blogs, and librarians’ blogs on the World Wide Web as one of the sources of electronic information left to us by information and communications technology at the end of the twentieth century. The study aims to identify the concept of the electronic blog, study its historical origins and stages of development, and shed light on the reasons for its popularity and spread among users. The Internet, reviewing the software used to create it and the research guides used to search for it, identifying the characteristics of a successful blog by focusing on Egyptian blogs, and presenting a number of examples of the most famous Egyptian blogs on the World Wide Web with reference to the relationship between Egyptian blogs and politics, in addition to identifying blogs in The field of libraries and information in terms of concept, the goals it seeks to achieve, the evidence that defines it, its various types, and presenting examples of what is available on the World Wide Web at both the Arab and global levels. Then clarify the nature of that source and identify it from all its angles as much as possible.
