Peer-review and its role in the scholarly communication system: specialized journals as an example

A scientific study on peer-review in specialized scientific journals. The study begins with a comprehensive introduction to the concept of scientific communication, then it deals with specialized periodicals in terms of their nature and importance in scientific communication and scientific editing. Then the study discusses scientific arbitration and addresses the nature of arbitration and the methods by which it is carried out. Then the study discusses Blind arbitration in the electronic environment, as it explains a number of ways in which the arbitration process is carried out, such as: e-mail, wiki technology, mailing lists, teamwork software, and digital warehouses. Then the study dealt with the criteria for the arbitration process, as it presented the criteria mentioned by some researchers, and finally it addressed Study some drawbacks in scientific arbitration.
