Abstract

E-learning has entered Arab universities recently and timidly, as many of these universities used it to support and support traditional lectures, while it was used to a much lesser extent as education integrated with traditional education, and some new universities have appeared that use it as virtual education over the network.

Electronic courses represent the essence of e-learning in universities that adopt one of these forms of education, and in order to support the trend to integrate e-learning in Arab universities, some relevant centers and units in those universities evaluate those courses in order to provide a grant or reward for each electronic course that meets specific conditions. However, these centers suffer from the scarcity of Arab studies that have addressed these conditions, and the need has arisen to discuss the foundations of evaluating the supporting and integrated electronic courses because most of the electronic courses used in our Arab universities are of these types.

In this research, the nature of e-learning, e-learning platforms, and types of e-courses were clarified, and a flexible evaluation framework was presented, providing universities with the ability to use it according to their privacy, according to the nature of the courses, and according to the approved e-learning platform, where the foundations for evaluating e-courses were presented and explained. Supportive and integrated in terms of contents, required activities, and providing their reasons; Finally, the method of using this framework was explained.
