open accessAbstract
Open access is making information content free and universally available via the Internet, as the publisher maintains online archives that are freely accessible, or has deposited the information in an open-access repository that is widely available. Open access is a new style of scientific publishing that emerged to free researchers and libraries from the restrictions imposed on them.
It seems that the communication system, especially the scientific communication system, has recently become unable to provide the desired service to all researchers and specialists, as researchers and specialists find themselves lacking access to information as a result of their lack of ability to access scientific information, as there are more than twenty thousand scientific journals. .
With the increase in periodicals, what is known as the Periodicals Crisis has become looming on the horizon, as the prices of periodicals have risen, prompting researchers and specialists to work to reduce this phenomenon so that they can keep pace with developments occurring in their respective fields of specialization.
