Abstract

The research dealt with the existence of an exchange of gifts between the Omani state on the one hand and England, France and the United States of America on the other hand, and the research reached the conclusion that the motive behind these gifts is to facilitate interests and overcome difficulties as a kind of political bribery wrapped in a cover of friendliness and graininess, and the number of research types of those gifts from Both the Omani and foreign parties, and it became clear that there were no diplomatic traditions at one time in England and France prohibiting the exchange of gifts with the rulers of Oman, especially France, but it appeared that the tradition of preventing the exchange of such gifts personally with the English government represented by their consul in Oman was found, and this was also found The esteemed tradition of the United States government; This is due to fear of government employees including presidents, consuls, and others being involved in inappropriate and impermissible engagements and agreements, and the search ended with a detailed diplomatic publishing and archival study of the document of the British Consul to Sheikh Ibra, and then exit with some diplomatic rules that were followed in writing such documents in the Sultanate of Oman, and that Through relying on the historical analytical approach, reviewing and criticizing primary and secondary sources internally and externally, with a critical analytical observation of these sources, in addition to Omani personal interviews, along with the diploma documentary approach to access legal formulas and parts of the document used, through the documentary archival study of one of these documents.
