Abstract

The institutional digital repositories are the latest applied technologies within the libraries, especially those existing in university institutions, where this new technology is achieveing great importance to this kind of libraries, because it encompasses the main functions of libraries in the digital environment, where it reserves and manages collections, as well as make them available without physical and legal obstacles on the Web, also a lot of scientific studies confirmed that digital repositories will form an essential part of regional conglomerates between libraries in the future. The aim of this study is to highlight the role of institutional digital repositories in the availability of digital resources of Algerian university libraries on the internet.
