Abstract

A study about internet services in 2.0 age, it deals the main applications of web 2.0. As a first Arabic study in this area, it starts with discussing the definition of web 2.0 and put new definition for it. Then talk about key applications of web 2.0; Blogs, Wiki, RSS, Social Networks, and Content Tagging. Then it talks about concept of Library 2.0 from its definition and main basics. Finally it talks about the effects of web 2.0 on librarians and library profession.
